Parliamentary Constituencies

The United Kingdom is currently divided into 650 parliamentary constituencies. One Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons represents a single constituency.  Six parliamentary constituencies cover County Durham, with one, Blaydon and Consett, extending outside the County boundary to cover the Blaydon area.  Further information on these boundaries is available on the UK Parliament website.
