Crime & Community Safety Topics
The Safe Durham Partnership has chosen three priority areas of focus for their Safe Durham Partnership Strategy 2024-2029. These have been identified from the evidence base in the Crime and Community Safety theme on Durham Insight. The Strategy’s ambition is that:
‘Durham is a county where everyone can feel and be safe’
To achieve this ambition the priorities we need to focus on are Anti-social behaviour and crime which disrupts our communities; Hate crime and building community cohesion; and Sexual violence and other violent crime. These priorities have been chosen because they are important to our residents, because of the significant harm they cause to victims, or because of the potential impact of national or international events; and they are areas where the strengths of the Safe Durham Partnership can make a real difference locally.
The following factsheets provide background information that is used to support the work of the Safe Durham Partnership. Further data is available through the ‘Crime & Community Safety‘ theme under the ‘Themes’ menu above.
